Tim Hardaway - Throwback Tues.

Throwback Tuesday is becoming on of the best parts of this blog. Doing our research for the throwback athlete of the week is awesome because we here at Ballers Sports are old school to the chore. At first glance it was kind of surprising that today's throwback was even considered a throwback, I guess that's us showing our age. Todays throwback athlete is none other than Timothy Duane "Tim" Hardaway. Sit back, relax and lets take a look at #10.

Before Deron, Chris and Derrick there was Tim.

Before Allen crossed MJ, Tim was crossing suckas making them look foolish.

Before Ray, Paul and KG or The Miami triplets there was Run TMC. What you know about that?

Tim Hardaway had a 14 year career with the Warriors, Heat, Mavs, Nuggets and Pacers. Lets be real, most of us remember Tim with the Warriors and the Heat where he spent the majority of his career. Actually when we pulled some old pictures of him in a nuggets uni we looked for a way to get it banished from Al Gores interweb.

Early on in his career Hardaway was dropping 20 pts and 10 asst on the regular. Not to mention Tim Hardaway was the first guy in the league to really embarrass guys with his crossover dribble. It was deceptively quick and it seemed like he always finished the basket after making his defenders look silly. (See video)

I know y'all don't remember those Air Raid sneakers that looked like a tribute to Malcom X. Can't remember what year it was, but I had a pair of the black and gray joints and as a kid you couldn't tell me anything on the basketball court. I remember his commercial with Spike Lee when he declared "I got skillz". Hardaway was one of the league's top point guards year in and year out and should probably have more than just 5 all-star appearances.

Toward the end of his career his game changed when he couldn't just go by other guys anymore. He then became one of the games most lethal 3 pt shooters at that time.
